ABOUT ABOUT

Join us on October 1st at 3:00pm ET/ 12:00pm PT for our learning session, To SBA or not to SBA: Options for Fund Managers.

Are you considering the US Small Business Administration’s Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program to raise capital for your next fund to finance your portfolio companies? If so, you must join this session to hear from Kate Price at Winston & Strawn and an expert in the SBIC approval and licensing process with the US SBA. Critically, SBIC’s receive Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) credit and open investment from CRA-motivated banks who are aligned with investing in approaches to address underserved communities and underrepresented entrepreneurs and the businesses they lead.

Furthermore, in 2023 SBA launched an equity-like capitalization tool called its Accrual Debenture product that does not require loan-like payment one quarter post-investment into a portco. It’s new and could be an opportunity to capitalize your next fund.

To secure proprietary info, we are asking for no AI bots notetakers please, let Brian Nagendra ([email protected]) know if there’s something we can do to facilitate your participation and learning.

Join us for this learning session and there’ll be opportunity for office hours time to follow the October 1st session.
